What's Involved

Two things. Understanding and practice. The pages of this site are about the understanding. There's plenty here (and quite a bit you won't find anyplace else). There are also many links to books, etc. where you can find out much more - at least about the Golden Age, the cataclysm, Sufis, and so on. Most of us don't have any idea anything like this type of journey/transformation is possible; even more just believe it's a bunch of bunk.

If you read what's here and elsewhere (and heed your hunches about things, by the way), you'll be able to make up your own mind. Here's a check, though, just so you don't think I'm making this stuff up.

Once you start on any kind of spiritual journey, there's no turning back. (Uh, you've already started. Sorry.) You can check this out in your own life. Cool things - and maybe disconcerting ones - will begin to happen in your life. You will be subtly invited to make different choices, see things differently, do things differently, and do different things. These things will keep happening to you. I don't have anything to do with this, it's just the way life's going to be for you.

Sure, you can stop. Ignore all this. Do something else. We all do; I did. This stuff's hard. But sooner or later, it'll come back to you for another look. Why is it hard? Because you have to do some concrete things. Which brings us to ...

The Practices

All the important transformations in life happen inside us. Yeah, the outside things are important, too, but you can change everything "out there" all you want, but nothing "in here" will change much. I don't have to keep on about this, you already know it.

Being able to make inner changes - the right ones - is what the Fool's Journey is all about. Several basic practices are given on this site; you can do them in the privacy of your own skull. The practices are given with the description of each card at the appropriate stage of the journey.

Other practices require a more in-person approach. That's what the classes, workshops and even the DVD's are for. Starting this journey always evokes many questions. Not just about the words, but about the experiences. "What do they mean? What am I supposed to do about them?"

So there's a limit to what can be presented on a Web site.
